Level 2.79 - Success

Level Your Life - [The Level of Success] [2.79]

Success

Most of us have been raised in a society that measures success by outcomes and results : win the title, beat your opponent, dominate others, score goals, get hits, make more sales than your co-workers.

Good results are fun, but since we have no control over outcomes, attempting to control what we can´t leads to a buildup of fear, anxiety, stress, tension and self-doubt. When instead, like a warrior , you begin to focus on what can be controlled - doing the little things - attending to physical mechanics, improving your attitude, feeling the experience, getting rest, eating well and hydrating - you remain relaxed and confident.

When the archer shoots for the love of shooting , he has access to all his skills; when he shoots for gold, he blinds himself.

We define success as the brilliant execution of all the little things rather than the marginal execution of all the brilliant things.
"From little streams come big rivers." When you achieve solid success in what you can control, the outcome is often success in your life.
We all love positive outcomes and the satisfaction of reaching goals - success of that kind feels good. But we must remind ourselves that those happy outcomes are usually the by-product of the process. This helps us to detach from results and succeed no matter the outcome of our efforts.

Declaration: I refuse to give outcomes and results permission to detract from my mission: I will be successful in controlling what I can , and the rest will take care of itself.

Reflection: What are five little things about my life, if I execute them, will lead me to experience success and enjoy the process ?
